Employment Law, also referred to as labor law, is a broad term encompassing every facet of the employment relationship that employers have with their employees, or in some cases, even in circumstances where no employer/employee relationship has yet been established, or after the employer/employee relationship has been terminated. Employment law regulates the entire process, from the initial hiring phase through job duties, wages, promotions, benefits offered by the company, employee evaluations, discipline and termination of the employment relationship, and even workplace safety. The tools of the employment lawyer, besides his training, skill, and experience, include the large body of state and federal laws, administrative rulings, and judicial precedents ("caselaw") which encompass all areas of the employer/employee relationship. For 37 years now I have represented employees in virtually every field, trade, or profession imaginable, and in virtually every aspect of the employer-employee relationship. I have represented government employees at every level of government, and employees whose employers range from the largest multinational corporations to small local businesses.
